Fix: Some wireless networks are ad-hoc (device to device). Unless you want to specifically connect to a device rather than an infrastructure/network, beware of such wireless networks, they may be hijack attempts.

Malicious users may set up their computers to offer wireless networks with the same name as established networks, thus you would connect to them rather than the actual wireless network. This way they can either hack into your computer or read the data transferred between your computer and the actual network.
